Dual-mode (Cellular/WiFi) operation

A first in the small business arena, Siemens brings its experience gained in the largest corporations to offer a single device solution for highly mobile workers. Now it’s possible to use selected dual-mode mobile phones on the cellular network in the morning and on the in-house WiFi network when working from the office in the afternoon. HiPath OpenOffice Entry Edition intelligently switches incoming calls to the most appropriate network. Outgoing calls are sent over the WiFi network to HiPath OpenOffice EE where they are routed out over cheaper land-lines. It’s a neat way of mating the convenience of your cell phone with the cost benefit of a desk phone.

Reknown for its inter-site networking, Siemens has built HiPath OpenOffice Entry Edition as both a standalone system, and one that can support multiple sites. Small Offices and Home Offices can be supported securely over the internet with deskphones or PC-phones. For larger offices, HiPath OpenOffice EE will network with other HiPath OpenOffice EE and HiPath 3000 systems, providing many time and resource saving features across the sites.
