Siemens Communications and Intel Corporation established a three year Global Technology and Marketing Alliance in 2006 to meet the requirements of enterprise customers by providing advanced Unified Communication solutions. The results of the alliance will be demonstrated by the co-development of solutions resulting in new competitive opportunities for both Intel and Siemens Communications.

Teaming Up

Each organisation has made a commitment of technical and marketing resources to the alliance and has outlined plans to leverage an existing world-wide partner eco-system to facilitate vertical market development and penetration. To help meet these objectives, the alliance will enable over 200 Business Development Managers throughout both organisations with joint field education training sessions.

Opening New Doors

Existing and potential customers have been invited to actively participate in the Solutions Lab to create new business advantages through Unified Communication solution development. Siemens and Intel will work with participants to jointly define application requirements, testing, trials, prototype development, and proof of concepts which focus on the advanced development of Unified Communication solutions. Siemens and Intel will leverage the Solutions Lab to jointly drive technology trends, co-marketing activities and the development of innovative solutions specifically focused on vertical markets. Benefits include the ability to improve workflow and optimise business processes by integrating real-time communications into new and existing applications. The results will provide enhanced productivity while maximising the performance of information and communications infrastructure.
