HiPath BizIP

HiPath BizIP is the telephone system without a telephone system! It's an innovative open IP telephony solution that enables small businesses to reduce call costs, while also benefiting from many enhanced SIP-based features such as caller lists, group calls, call diversion, three-way conferences, and swapping between calls.

It uses peer-to-peer technology, which you may have heard of from its use in consumer applications such as Napster™ and Sky Broadband. All of the switching intelligence resides in special software running in the Optipoint 410 SIP handsets. Up to 16 BizIP phones can be taken out of their packaging and connected directly to the LAN—the phones then locate each other, configure themselves, and are instantly ready to use.
